PowerBuilder 10.5.2 Build 7826 differs from PowerBuilder 11.5.1 Build 4675
Apparently there's some data conversion issues that differ from PowerBuilder 10.5.2 and 11.5.1 (builds listed in subject). The following mini scrip results in different returned values: Byte lb_test Decimal ld_test lb_test = 48 ld_test = Dec(lb_test) MessageBox('Test', String(ld_test)) In PowerBuilder 10.5.2, the messagebox displays the value '48'. Hi all, i need to install Pb 11.5 on a pc with Pb 11.2 already installed. Can i leave both versions on the same machine? Thanks Mark Mark, We just did that its a bad idea to do so, now we can't able to run 11.2 and it comes back with License not valid message and then follows with license validation and goes through properly by validating the server and throws up a final message to restart the powerbuilder, but this process never fixes the issue and keep coming with same message! Hi. I am seeing the error text pasted below when I start to install pb 11.5. Even on the phone with Microsoft, I have been unable to install .net so that pb is satisfied. This problem is occurring on a new 64 bit vista machine, but when I started to install 11.5 on my old 32 bit xp, the same error displayed. Another developer also mentioned seeing this error--but just continued with the installation. He does not need .net or web services. Hi, were are investigating the process of upgrading powerbuilder 105 to powerbuilder 11.5. are there any steps to watch out for. my initial plan is to backup the current source. Hello, since we use SQL Anywhere 11 DB we have problems with our PB datawindows. We often use computed columns like ' TESTCol. Before SQL Anywhere 11 in the edit source of the datawindow the column was declared as char(0). But since version 11 the columns were declared as char(1)! PowerBuilder allows only one character when the column is only char(1). When the column is declared as char(0) you can write unlimited characters. Can anyone explain why?
